It was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and it’s totally mountainous
including the Dolomites, several rivers (Adige) and lakes (Garda, Tovel). Tourism
is in summer and winter, too and provides the chance to do many sports meeting
the different needs. The environment is refreshing and healthy both for the mountains
and parks rich of vegetation and oxygen. There are also Spa of international
fame, valleys (Val di Non, Val di Sole, Valsugana) and landscapes made of woods
and forests, natural places, caves, glaciers, streams and pasture lands. There
are grapes cultivations, apple and pear trees, cattle farm. His food tradition
is partly of german origin and it’s rich of plain dishes of farm origins.
Among the typical dishes there are ‘canederli’(gnocchi with bread,
milk, eggs and salami), ‘la polenta’, sauerkraut, salmon trout, ‘luganeghe’,
mushrooms, fresh and seasonal cheese. Among sweets there is the ‘strudel’ and
among wines the Cabernet and the Pinot.
